Position: Head Teacher 

Primary Location: Beverly, Illinois, United States

QUALIFICATIONS

Desired Skills and Experience:

 

  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain

  • BA Degree in Early Childhood Development (Preferred)

  • Child Development Associate or (CDA) Credential 

  • Completed 12 core ECE Units Infant/toddler

  • Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors and outdoors 

  • Have the ability to engage physically, visually, and compassionately with not only children, but their parents and your peers.

  • Classroom management skills:  ability to ensure a safe and engaging environment, 

  • All center staff applicants must meet state specific guidelines for the role

 

Responsibilites:

  • Evaluate student progress

  • Plan curriculum with varying developmental needs

  • Track academic performance

  • Guide and mentor other members of the teaching staff

  • Meet with parents to discuss the needs and goals of students

  • Meet with co-teachers in the classroom weekly for lesson planning development

  • Attend weekly, bi-weekly and monthly staff meetings and trainings

 

Position: Teacher Assistant or Floater Center Staff 

Primary Location: Beverly, Illinois, United States

QUALIFICATIONS

Desired Skills and Experience:

​

  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain

  • Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential (Preferred or willing to obtain) 

  • Completed 6 core ECE Units Infant/toddler OR Associates Degree in Child Development

  • Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors 

  • Have the ability to engage physically, visually, and compassionately with not only children, but their parents and your peers.

  • Classroom management skills:  ability to ensure a safe and engaging environment, 

  • All center staff applicants must meet state specific guidelines for the role

  • Be mentored by Lead and or Co-Teacher if Co-Teacher is qualified to Lead.

  • Meet with parents to discuss the needs and goals of students

  • Meet with Lead and Co-Teachers in the classroom weekly for lesson planning development

  • Attend weekly, bi-weekly and monthly staff meetings and trainings

  •  Sudden Infant Death Syndrome(1hr): SIDS (Infant & Toddler Teachers must have before hire)   

  •  A Preventable Tragedy (1hr): Shaken Baby Training (Infant & Toddler Teachers must have before hire)

  • Welcoming Every Child (7hrs)

 

Gateways to Opportunity Trainings​

  • Lead & Water: Protecting Illinois Children (1hr)

 

DCFS Licensing Required Training

  • Mandated Reporter Training (2hr)
